Guys today don’t have it easy. To make things even more crazy, what do you do when your girlfriend says she’s pregnant? How do you respond?

There are options available that might not be the best choice for you or the girl who’s pregnant. For a young man faced with an unplanned pregnancy, the reality is that you are dealing with a very complex issue. The key word in that last sentence is ” realility “. The fact that teens are dealing with unplanned pregnancies is real and the consequences of their actions are real. This is not a spot that many teens want to find themselves in.

Guys need to remember that they are not the only ones involved here. It is easy to pass blame, walk away or take the easy way out. Regardless of what you may be thinking, the challenge here is to consider the other people involved. Well besides the mother, who else is there? There are several: Her parents, your parents, the baby, other relatives , friends and you. So what’s the point in all of this? The point is that an unplanned pregnancy can and will affect many other people both in the present and the future, also how you deal with the unplanned pregnancy will have long term effects positive or negative. If you or someone you know is dealing with an issue as serious as this, please don’t try to deal with it alone. It’s OK to ask for help especially in a situation like this. It’s the smart thing to do.
